Glasgow Street Food Market invites NHS workers in for free Big Feed

A street food market in Glasgow has issued an invitation to anyone who works for the NHS to come down next weekend for free.

Big Feed takes place in a warehouse on Govan Road and is back on April 7-8, running 12-10pm Saturday and 12-7pm Sunday.

There, some of the biggest names in Scottish street food are serving up pizza, hod dogs, churros, burritos, vegan fare and prosecco galore.

With the Easter holiday in full swing this weekend, many will be enjoying a break from work – but the organisers of Big Feed have given a nod to those who don’t enjoy their bank holidays at home with family.

They said: “As a wee thank you to all NHS staff working this weekend looking after our friends and families, pop down to Big Feed next weekend, show your NHS identification card and get free entry.

“The post has been shared widely on Facebook, so here’s hoping that some of those hardworking doctors, nurses and other NHS staff see it and head along for a well-earned freebie.
