How it Works

Our primary listing sites are Good Local Events and Good Local Venues. We provide rolling news for Placemakers on Good Local News where we also list Placemaking-related trade events, meetings and seminars.

Adding a Listing

We welcome venue owners and event managers to list their events and venues free of charge on our system. We aim to be be comprehensive and create an attractive searchable information page about your event or venue complete with map, photos an option to add videos and contact information. Listing an event or venue is quick and easy and comes with no obligation to use our booking system. Use the Add Listing page to get quick directions on how and where to list.

Bookings

Venue Bookings

We offer a venue booking service integrated into your venue listing where event managers can book event venues of all kinds.

We show availability but bookings are not confirmed immediately and require approval. Enquiries are undertaken free of charge and can be made across multiple venues. Event managers can search across multiple venues and make their bookings all in one place. Venue owners can choose which bookings to accept or refuse so events are always appropriate to your event calendar or your type of venue.

Our system comes with a powerful booking management system which can be used to manage all your venue bookings or be adapted to integrate into your existing bookings system.

We charge a fee to the venue only on the bookings we generate. Our standard booking fee is 10% payable by the venue. We operate a “No Booking – No Fee” system which means we only charge for confirmed bookings booked through us which generate revenue. Events that do not go ahead and cancellations are refunded.

Event Stallholder Bookings

We offer a stallholder recruitment service integrated into your event listing where stallholders can book stalls on your event.

We show availability but stall bookings are not confirmed immediately and require approval. Enquiries are undertaken free of charge and can be made across multiple events. Stallholders can search across multiple venues for trade space and make their bookings all in one place. Event owners can choose which bookings to accept or refuse to perfectly manage your requirements or trader mix.

Our system comes with a powerful booking management system which can deal with deposits, all types of stalls and and payment configurations and can be used to manage all your trade stands or stalls from allocation to  payment — or can be adapted to integrate into your existing bookings system.

We charge a fee to the venue only on the confirmed payments we generate. Our standard booking fee is 10% payable by the event operator. We operate a “No Booking – No Fee” system which means we only charge for confirmed bookings booked through us which generate revenue. Traders that do not proceed with their booking are not charged and cancellations are refunded.

Supplying News Stories and Press Releases

We aim to make Good Local News the go-to location for all Placemaking news and trade event information.

Adding a Placemaking Event, Meeting or Seminar

Adding a Placemaking event, meeting or seminar to our event calendar is easy using our Add My Meeting form. We will quickly check over your copy and then publish your event to our Calendar.

File a News Story

We are interested in running all types of news relating to events or Placemaking activities. One-off news stories and press releases should be sent by email with images attached to network@goodlocally.com but if you are likely to be a regular supplier of news you can feed directly into our systems via us polling you by RSS. This requires some configuration by us so please contact us so we can arrange the integration.
